Sorting Shed

The Sorting Shed is a commanding two storey concrete structure with a luxurious interior. The name is inspired by the process where dried tobacco leaves were sorted in a shed adjoining the tobacco kiln.

The lofty ceiling and generous dimensions of the upstairs living area reflect the scale of the original tobacco sorting shed and its adjoining kilns. Thoughtfully appointed amenities that include two wood burning fires, a separate den and an in-house sauna make The Sorting Shed a perfect adult retreat.

Floor to ceiling views

The Sorting Shed features a grand living space upstairs with floor to ceiling doors and windows providing close up views of Mt Buffalo, the farm and property vineyard. It has two balconies – each with their own stunning views – and delightful protected outdoor dining spaces.

Adjoining the living space is a modern, luxuriously equipped kitchen with ILVE appliances. Perfect for cooking with local produce while keeping an eye on the spectacular scenery and bulls in the paddock below.

Discover hygge

Hygge is a Danish word that translates to a feeling of contentment and cosiness arising from the simple things in life. Discover your hygge at The Sorting Shed.

In summer, enjoy the extended evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony while the sun sets over the beautiful Ovens Valley. On indoor days, make a cup of hot chocolate and tuck yourself away in the cosy, enclosed den with its own wood fire and special views of the mountain.

Recharge, relax, unwind

A special feature of The Sorting Shed is the sauna located downstairs. Its a great way to recharge after skiing and bike riding, or just relax and unwind from the everyday.

Polished concrete floors are luxuriously cool under your feet on summer days, and when the cold arrrives underfloor heating will keep your toes toasty.
