Stay at The Kilnhouses

Staying at the kilnhouses is a unique experience where contemporary luxury and design is combined with the stunning beauty of the Ovens Valley landscape.

Situated near Porepunkah, at the base of Mount Buffalo, close to the river, amidst a working angus cattle stud – Alpine Angus. The three houses – each in a separate part of the farm – all have spectacular views of Mount Buffalo, Feathertop and Bogong, with grape vines and sleek black angus cattle in the foreground.

We all had one of our most pleasurable stays in any accommodation in all the years going away throughout Victoria with our bike group’s riding adventures.

The Sorting Shed is AMAZING!

Daina – The Sorting Shed

Simply delightful, stylish accommodation and a truly relaxing experience... we feel so lucky to have stayed at this beautiful location, you will not be disappointed with a stay at The Kilnhouses.

Elizabeth – Eurobin kilnhouse

One of the most relaxing enjoyable places to stay. Could not fault a thing. This does live up to all the excellent reviews. Will be back.

Margaret-Ann – Cavedons kilnhouse

Picturesque. Amazing. Beautiful. Well equipped. Hands down best place I’ve stayed.

The Accommodation Experience

Each of the houses fits naturally within the local rural environment. The tobacco kiln shapes of Cavedons and Eurobin are seen dotted throughout the Ovens Valley. Concrete sheds, and more recently iron sheds, were used for sorting the tobacco and the imposing ‘Sorting Shed’ kilnhouse draws from the original kiln and sorting shed on the farm.
